Sister 3 (Pink Pony Party) was calling out my name this weekend, so I decided to temporarily abandon Sister 1 and Sister 2. The pink seat turned out super salmon-ey up above, but it's really not that color. Hopefully, the next time you see it, my camera will be show it the way it actually is. I will say, though, that lighter pink strip does go well with the seat color. The fenders are ready to apply as are the jockeys. Hopefully it will get finished by Wednesday.
Current status of Sister 1 (a.k.a. Plum Passion). Ready for the seat, but all the rest of the pieces are yet to be cut out and worked on. *sigh*
Status of Sister 2. Not sure where this one's taking me. Possibly a two toned wonder with the floral carving on the bottom skirt a light or medium oil. My new pattern turned out to be longer than I had originally thought, so an upper skirt is necesary to fill in the space. Most single skirted gaming saddles are shorter than the double skirted ones. Because I have to stop and build a new pattern, (Britne, I know you're laughing right now - Pbttthhhhttttttt!!) I lost momentum. Hence the progress on Sister 3. Oh well. They'll all get done eventually. I'm not opposed to assembly lines either. It does help the work go faster.
Sister 4 is a blank slate so far. It's definitely looking like a light or medium oil contrast with natural, and maybe even rough out jockeys and fenders. Not sure what design themes will be on there either. Stars? Flowers? Hmmm...
